While I have never been banned myself, the screenshots I've seen of ban messages generally do indicate a specific reason, such as disrespectful comments, attacking other Scratchers, posting inappropriate projects, etc. and the ban page (image here) gives the last few alerts before the ban, and I know alerts give both a specific reason and the specific project or comment that led to them.
