BoltBait did this already a while ago for each letter, so you don't have to create many costumes.That particular workaround requires 52 costumes, and the shortest I know of requires 26.

Maybe this should be a per-project toggle rather than a forced change? Since that wouldn't break existing projects and wouldn't cause any confusion for people who are just starting out.
