SMS
Email
Authentication apps like Google Authenticate
People say that “kids don't have phones” when that's untrue. Many kids get phones around the age of 8-12, and Scratch's target age is 8-16. 70% of kids have phones by age 11, and 80% of kids have phones by age 12, so most people using Scratch can use SMS.

Email is the same as SMS, most people have one by the time they get a phone (I actually got an email before I got a phone).

Authentication apps like Google Authenticate are usually secure, but for those who are skeptical, that's why we have email/SMS.
Where did you get that information? 70% of kids get their phones by age of 11? What's your source? And what do you mean (I got an email before I got a phone)? I can tell you that most school districts give you a email once your into the system…. are you just basing this of yourself?
Yeah I got mine at 10, i could never dream of a phone at 8, I had a dsi and 3ds tho
Your phone or your email?
Phone, I got a phone at ten. I got an email before
Oh, ok. I still haven't gotten my phone yet, but I had a email when I was 5. I didn't use it tho, never knew how. Until now, I guess
