In Youtube, for example, you're able to make comments and edit or delete them. Unfortunately, the edit option is not allowed in regular comments and the deleting option is only avaliable for comments in your profile or in a project of yours, but it's unavaliable to delete your comment, unless you comment on your profile or in a project you've made.
So my suggestion is to make an option to edit your own comment and an option to delete it, even if your comment is not in your profile or in a project you've made. You can even report your own comment, why not edit or delete it?
I've seen that you can't do so, so there won't be spam, but I have an idea: when a comment gets deleted, the user won't get notified about the comment. Like, if @randomuserthatdoesntexist1234 comments on my project “I like burger” and I delete it, it won't appear in my messages box. So, if this deleting option was avaliable, the deleted comment wouldn't appearin your messages box and you wouldn't be notified for that comment, like, 0 messages.
That's my suggestion.
